Abstract :
A previously formulated [A. Bouzerdoum, D. Filippidis, and V. Purl, 1998) forward-observer (FO) decision-making (DM) model is generalized using global mathematical analysis, optimized (physically and physiologically) and integrated using a computer algebra system (CAS) for application into live training and combat operation (CO). The global geometro-dynamical FO analysis includes: designing the phase-space manifold of the FO´s action, the FO´s DM system, CO dynamics as visualized by the FO, an integrated FO´s DM-CO project, and the problem of chaos in the global DM-CO project. The FO´s CAS contains active Mathematica notebooks for the evaluation and simulation of equations formulated in the global mathematical analysis. This includes three original packages: DM-CAS (applied for prediction of the fraction of casualties), CO simulation, and integrated DM-CO simulation
