  • Abstract
This paper presents the transfer limits or transfer capability of Venezuela´s bulk transmission network considering the network topology expected for 2006. The most important power transferences of the Venezuela´s bulk transmission network are identified as EDELCA outflow, Central region inflow, Midwestern region inflow, Yaracuy outflow and Western CADAFE inflow. The transfer limits were obtained evaluating the results of transient stability simulations of single contingencies under different operating conditions, accordingly to the current security criteria. The dependency of the maximum flow through a link on the flows of other links is taken into account, thus obtaining a secure operation region rather than a single value in each case
