Abstract
Network externality is one of the most important characteristics of information technology. The development of information technology is very fast, but not each technology innovation gets widely used because of the network externality. In this article, a utility model was constructed and analyzed based on network externality. And it was discussed which factors are important in the diffusion of technology innovation and how they influence the diffusion.
