Summary form only given. The goal of this project is to examine the means of talent retention within various management structures of high-tech start-up companies. Based on the results of our case study and other research we determined some of the universal attributes of a successful incentive structure for a high-tech organization. In order to acquire and maintain quality high-tech employees organizations in the new, economy must understand what employees want and how they obtain job satisfaction. A review of current literature illustrates that today´s technical employees want flexible work schedules, the opportunity to gain respect and additional income by doing a job well, and the opportunity to improve their job skills via dedicated training. These benefits need to be delivered in conjunction with a competitive salary if employees are to remain satisfied and productive
