Abstract
The on-board charger of a PHEV should be compatible with harmonic standards and operate with high power factor. This manuscript proposes a novel integrated on-board charger topology for PHEVs, with minimum number of switches in comparison to the conventional chargers while using only one inductor for all operation modes. The analysis proved that proposed topology successfully operates in motoring, driving, and charging modes with a power factor above 0.995 and total harmonic distortion of less than 5%.
