Abstract
This paper demonstrates the authors´ continuous effort on the improvement of bare surface soil moisture and roughness estimation under the configuration of L-band polarimetric SAR measurement. Testing of the improved algorithm by using ground scatterometer data indicated the RMSE of 4% and 3.3 mm for estimated soil moisture and surface RMS height, respectively
