Abstract :
The human hand is a very difficult system to mimic and copy. In order to obtain a good artificial model, capable to perform even a part of the natural hand´s activities, some steps should be followed. Before implementing an artificial hand, one has to go through the modeling, design, and numerical analysis, in order to study the final system´s behavior into the intended environment. This paper presents some aspects regarding the design model we created for an artificial hand and, also, the numerical analysis we performed. The conclusions showed that our model behaves well in the imposed conditions, so the physical model can be implemented.
