Abstract
The objective of this paper is the study of the broadband-integrated services digital network (B-ISDN) meta-signalling protocol. The new paradigm that will be introduced to the service offered to the user and to his environment is discussed, and the meta-signalling protocol is described, as an important part of this new paradigm. An implementation of the meta-signalling management for a B-ISDN user-network interface and software to control these management functions are proposed
