Abstract
In standard digital video signal processing applications the signal relates to the sampled baseband domain with a typical sampling rate of 13.5 MHz. For digital modulation there is a necessity for a quite higher sampling rate due to the carrier frequency. To avoid an increased expense in video modulation hardware, a special subsampling technique for modulation and an intercarrier frequency filtering method are discussed. The results shown were tested in hardware and software simulations at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany
