Abstract
A ring-shaped one-dimensional cardiac fiber model comprising an ischemic segment was used to simulate reentry. Programmed stimulation was applied to a single site along the ring. Sustained reentry with stable period and action potential duration can be obtained when the size of the ring is sufficiently large. Short episodes of reentry occur in a smaller ring, with a shorter period and an alternation between regular and short action potentials.<>
