  • Abstract
Under the harsh environment of high dust, high humidity and low illumination level in the coal mine, a non-contact optical electricity measurement method for depth estimation of coal silo was proposed and distance measurement equipment based on structured light was designed. The imaging points of laser spot were determined by use of image segmentation method, and then depth value for all kinds of materials in the coal silo could be obtained by the principle of triangulation measurement. It was shown from experimental results that the algorithm can effectively achieve depth estimation values based on the triangulation measurement method. It was applied especially in the depth measurements of coal silo underground coal mine.
