Abstract
Peer-to-peer (P2P) storage systems assume that their users consume resources in proportion to their contribution. Unfortunately, users are unlikely to do this without some enforcement mechanism. In this paper, we propose storage allocate algorithm in a P2P storage system based on the incentive mechanism. The provider allocates its space according to the consumer´s contribution in order to maximize its own expected utility. Analyses and simulations show that the incentive-based mechanism can discard the free-rider from P2P system effectively and encourage the node sharing more storage so that it can earn more reward greatly
