Abstract
The paper discusses e-government services for the business sector in Austria. First, major types and categories of e-government services for businesses are defined Second, evidence for the characteristics and extent of the demand for e-government services for businesses is shown. Finally, the state of implementation of e-government services for the business sector is evaluated through insight into three levels, namely the current ICT-infrastructure as well as relevant organizational and legal frameworks, supporting political initiatives, and existing realizations of e-government services for businesses in comparison to similar applications on the international level
