Abstract :
A methodology of medical ultrasonic power measurement based on sound field scan with hydrophone was presented in this paper. Firstly, the hydrophone automatically scanned the acoustic field under the control of the measuring system, instantly collected sound pressure signal, and the ultrasonic intensity at the position could be calculated. Then the temporal average ultrasonic power was obtained by using surface integrals form. Compared to the radiation force balance method, the experiment result shows that the method this paper introduced had a lower uncertainty of measurement, and can be widely used for sound power measurement of ultrasonic diagnostic equipment.
