Abstract :
As the number of Internet services are growing rapidly, the network users need a framework to locate and utilize those services which are available in the Internet. As a result, dynamic service discovery plays an important role in certain networks such as P2P networks. Because of P2P applications are mostly downloaded and P2P now accounts for considerable volumes of all Internet traffic, we need a new mechanism supporting such an environment. Recently many P2P mechanisms that focus on the naming and discovery protocol have been proposed. However, because these mechanisms do not provide congestion management and priority-based scheduling in P2P networks, it cannot support an efficient communication among nodes. Congestion control is a hot issue because there are tremendous nodes that want to communicate with each other and so many nodes may appear to P2P network in the near future. In addition, scheduling in service discovery is also required to support QoS management. Based on these observations, this paper presents a new framework to resolve such problems, designs a QoS-based agent framework and implements it to show its effectiveness
