  • Abstract
    Based on rough set theory, this paper investigates a knowledge discovery method of data sets which have continuous attributes, and the main concepts of partition sets, lower-boundary and upper-boundary are presented. We also give an illustration of this method applied to breakouts prediction system for continuous casting machine. Another major part of this paper is to present a paradigm of knowledge discovery process in the industrial applications
