Abstract :
Wind power has received much attention as the most widely used type of renewable energy because of its higher energy conversion efficiency than solar power. In addition to the large wind power turbines already in operation, small wind power turbines are also being developed to meet their increased demand in urban or rural areas. However, the efficiency of current operating small wind power turbines that doesn´t satisfy the needs of the market. So, new ways to improve efficiency of small wind power turbine are required. In this paper, the output characteristics of a small wind power turbine were analyzed according to the position of a 1 mm-wide, 1 mm-deep hollowed stator groove.
