Abstract :
The describing function analysis approach previously presented by the author for determining control-to-output frequency responses of time-interval-modulated switched networks, as exemplified by switching DC-to-DC converters, is now extended to determining input-to-output frequency responses. The general derivation procedure is outlined and demonstrated in deriving the linearized describing function of pulse-width-modulated (PWM) converters operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM). Experimental verification of this result is provided
