Abstract
In order to assess the performance of knowledge workers properly, a modified balanced scorecard model is set up which mainly comprised four perspectives: achievement, team work, communication, knowledge. It is more related to the traditional balanced scorecard. According to the characteristics of knowledge workers in different companies, especially in learning organization, the improved balanced scorecard model is more connected to the strategy activities and has deep relationship with knowledge management. As a performance measurement and strategy management system, the new balanced scorecard model will use nine steps to evaluate the performance in knowledge organization, and it can be also applied to appraise the value of knowledge workers in the learning organization.
