  • Abstract
    In this paper, we analyzed the effect of ground-plane width change on electromagnetic characteristics of coplanar waveguide. Eight full-space coplanar waveguide models with different ground-plane width were simulated using finite-difference time-domain method. Numerical implementation was presented in detail, key technology of finite-difference time- domain method were discussed, including excitation source, numerical stability condition and boundary truncation. Electromagnetic property parameters of coplanar waveguides were calculated and compared with experiment results. The simulation results agree well with experiment results. Finally, the effects of ground-plane width change on electromagnetic characteristics of the coplanar waveguide are presented.
