Abstract
An adaptive loss minimization control strategy is presented for inverter-fed interior permanent magnet (IPM) motor drives. The loss minimization process is very fast and the drive performance under the control is very smooth. The control system is implemented using a TMS320C31 DSP. Excellent experimental results confirm the validity of the proposed strategy
