  • Abstract
    This paper presents the development of a management system for teleprotection commands in order to evaluate its operating conditions. It was developed a data acquisition system from teleprotection equipments as well as data from protective relays. The system collects data cyclically and automatically or also on occurrence of teleprotection events. The data are analyzed by statistical techniques to observe tendencies in behavior. This system results in an improvement in the maintenance and also in the reliability of teleprotection. Based on current and historical information provided by the system, preventive maintenance can be postponed or performed in most appropriate time interval.
