Abstract :
In this paper, we present a micromagnetic modeling study of the relationship between overwrite and adjacent track erasure for perpendicular recording using a granular perpendicular recording medium with soft underlayer and a pole head. The study focuses on the overwrite mechanism in granular perpendicular media and explores its implication to adjacent track erasure.
