Abstract :
A network of remote, isolated measuring stations which can be used in a number of applications is described. The features of such a configuration based on the interconnection of autonomous measuring units are presented, together with a typical application of this “intelligent” instrumentation scheme to an ultrasonic water-level monitoring system. A UHF communication network is used for serial data transmission from all stations
