Abstract :
Traditional weave CAD systems have such limitation as its complex arts and crafts, its long production cycle and its high material waste rate. In order to improve the productivity, we designed an intelligent pattern designing and plate making integrated system. Especially, a pattern emulation technique added to this system to some extent accelerates automation of the weave CAD system. We describe the weave CAD system´s framework and realization of its subsystems. In addition, we use an OOD method for representation of the weave and put forward an emulation technique using reticulated structure modeling and a blobby geometric modeling method for textile surfaces
