Abstract :
The fabrication of CoPtCr-SiO2 perpendicular recording media was studied having adequate values of uniaxial magnetic anisotropy values, Ku1 and Ku2. It was concluded that there is a high possibility of fabricating Ku2 media for high density recording, although more intensive effort is required to confirm advantages by Ku2 term.
