Abstract
Using a simplified network circuit model of an empty cell for low and medium frequencies, the paper investigates the performance of the hybrid termination of the GTEM cell by means of S-Parameters. Despite the fact that there is an energy transfer from one mode to another, the approach allows determination of the performance of each each element of the circuit. Thus enabling optimization of the overall performance of the cell.
