Abstract :
This paper reports the effect of neutron radiation on the Sm2Co17-based magnets with TM = 300 °C and 500 °C (TM is the maximum operating temperature at which the extrinsic demagnetization curve is linear). All the samples had intrinsic coercivity (Hei) > 21 kOe and the ratio of L/D = 1.25. Neutron fluence is in the range of 1013 to 1018 neu/cm2. The results shows that Sm-Co samples maintain 100% of their magnetic strength for all the fluences. Nd13Dy2Fe77B8 samples are also studied for comparison.
