  • Abstract
    Quality testing always plays an important role in product manufacturing. However, for various products often needing different testing processes, current quality test systems have not provided adequate support for their flexibility and adaptability yet. For the purpose of improving their dynamic performance, the conceptions of workflow management system (WfMS) is adopted into the development of quality test system, and a methodology which is able to customize the testing process dynamically in quality test system is proposed. Orienting the business process of quality testing, a workflow model based on nodes and links is built. In order to analyze its dynamic characteristics, the architecture and running process of the quality test system are also illustrated. This method has been applied successfully in an electronic relay quality test system, which demonstrates the feasibility and practicality. This case also provides a reference to others in applying dynamic workflow to application systems in engineering.
