  • Abstract
    Variable bit rate (VBR) MPEG video is a special VBR video traffic type with wide application future. However, MPEG video traffic characteristics are not understood very clearly. The paper introduces statistical analysis of MPEG video traffic based on our simulation experiments of real MPEG video traces. Also in the paper an MPEG VBR video model is proposed: composite Rayleigh autoregressive (RAR) model. MPEG VBR video simulation traffic can be generated by this model
