Abstract :
This paper presents the main issues that should be considered on design of efficient tunable matching networks (MN). The influence of the components quality factors on the matching network efficiency has been analyzed, allowing the development of the presented design methodology. A prototype working at 2.4 GHz has been fabricated on PCB in order to validate the methodology. The designed circuit matches simultaneously the input and output of a power amplifier over a large range of impedances located at a circle of VSWR=5:1.
