Abstract :
Several schemes of light coupling from micro to nano photonic devices are analyzed by using an efficient two-dimensional finite element method (2D-FEM) in the frequency domain, in both, rectangular and cylindrical coordinates in conjunction with the perfectly matched layers (PML).
