Abstract :
In this paper a new Palmo cell is presented for the first time. Previous Palmo cells have made use of linear voltage mode circuits and log and square root domain current mode circuits. Here a current mode integrator is used to implement the Palmo cell. The advantage of the design presented here is in the ease of implementation compared to other current mode implementations. It also enables the Palmo cell to be operated in continuous time or sampled-data modes for various signal processing tasks. Circuits operate with a 3.3V power supply with sampling rates of up to 10MHz for sampled-data circuits.
