Abstract
This paper investigates the use of a current control strategy and a voltage source inverter with random pulse width modulation (RPWM) to supply an induction motor. The RPWM technique permits a reduction in the acoustic noise and vibration in AC motor drive systems. Some selected experimental results obtained with the proposed controller are also presented
