  • Abstract
There probably are too many MBAs in aerospace. Worse, they aren´t going to go away. Therefore the systems engineer´s only choice is to adopt the worthwhile MBA ideas into day-to-day business. Keep the following things in mind: If the MBAs are compromising the mission objectives through over simplification, help them keep the message intact. Watch for the introduction of new business school concepts. Keep cost-as-an-independent-variable (CAIV) simple and effective. Use CAIV to know your program and to prioritize the optional elements. Understand what is really meant when the consumer says they want RTOC-reduced total ownership cost
