  • Abstract
    The signal transmitted is often added by white noise in the transmission channel of the communication system. That may result in the distortion of the signal and induce the difficulty of the signal demodulation at the receiving end. Comparing to the traditional estimation method which relies on amount of prior knowledge, a novel method of amplitude estimation of signal white noise based on EMD algorithm and Parzen Window according to the finite-duration signals is proposed. It could be used for the amplitude distribution estimation of white noise added in the channel or comparing the energies of white noises added in different channels and evaluating the quality of the channels. The novel method is simulated in the paper. It shows that the method can achieve and is intuitive by the analysis of the picture about the process and result.
