Abstract :
A compact tapered slot antenna (TSA) for an ultra-wideband (UWB) microwave imaging system is investigated in this article. The proposed TSA, which takes a microstrip-line as its feeding construction, is electrically small size with wideband and good directivity. The measured and simulated results show the good performance of the antenna, and means that this type of antenna can be used in a UWB microwave imaging system and the experiment of a microwave imaging system proves the conclusion.
