Abstract :
Summary form only given. We compare nonlinear conversion results in periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN), KTP, LBO, and BBO using multimode and TEM/sub 00/ pumps of novel design and show an elegant method to improve multimode nonlinear conversion efficiency. Periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) offers numerous advantages over conventional nonlinear materials.
