Abstract
Summary form only given. We propose a new type of photo-acoustic Raman spectroscopy (PARS) without a tunable laser for inflammable gas detection. The system is composed of a fixed-frequency laser and a Raman shifter filled with the high-pressure gas to be detected. Detection of H/sub 2/ at atmospheric pressure is demonstrated using a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser.
