Abstract :
At present, the technology of machine vision is gradually applied in various manufacturing industries. Battery, a greatly demanded product in the manufacturing industry, is taking use of the technology to inspect the surface defects. In order to improve the efficiency of detection and the effectiveness of the subsequent image processing algorithm in the machine vision system, this paper proposes a simple and accurate image segmentation algorithm, which can effectively and conveniently separate the effective region from the rough battery´s image. And it is been verified by experiments.
