Abstract :
In this paper, we present a new way to generate the twiddle factor using Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer (CORDIC) in the implementation of the long-size radix-4 FFT. We don´t need to store the values of the twiddle factor or the rotation-angles, and the twiddle factor generation is only related to the address of FFT input data stored in SRAM. Finally, we give the simulation results and accuracy class (10-4) using this method to generate the twiddle factor. By this way we can efficiently minimize the hardware resource consumption and reduce the complexity of signals´ control architecture.
