Abstract
Simulating a mixed signal system described in a single behavioral language is a challenging task. Simulating a mixed signal system described in two or more different behavioral languages places additional requirements on verification tools and design practices. At the same time, the necessity of combining two or more languages in a single design is very real. Extensive design libraries written in various languages are becoming available. These libraries encompass intellectual property (IP) in different physical domains. In order to use models from multiple libraries described in different HDLs in the same system design, the simulator must support interoperability between the languages.
