Abstract
Summary form only given. A novel open-resonator lowest-loss mode with uniform output amplitude distribution is produced by an intracavity Fourier transform and inhomogeneities on one of the cavity mirrors. This mode is called Fourier-mode because its amplitude distribution functions at the end mirrors are approximately Fourier transforms of each other. Using the Fourier optics method, the integral equations describing the oscillation modes in the circular cross section of the generalized confocal resonator (GCR) with flat mirrors and with an amplitude-phase spatial filter on one of the reflectors are obtained taking into consideration the aperture finiteness both of the reflectors and phase corrector.
