Title :
SLICOT-Based Computational Tools for CACSD
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The subroutine library in control theory (SLICOT) incorporates efficient and reliable algorithms for computer aided control systems design (CACSD), covering system identification, model and controller reduction, system analysis and design, and robust control. The main SLICOT functionality is made accessible from Matlab or Scilab environments via MEX- and M-files. The paper describes some of the available SLICOT-based Matlab functions, and presents comparative results under Matlab 7.0.1, illustrating the high performance of these software tools. Starting with Matlab 7, the control systems toolbox for Matlab uses SLICOT routines for some basic computations, including Sylvester and Lyapunov equations solution and block diagonalization
