Summary form only given A number of studies have been carried out to investigate the characteristics of para-H/sub 2/ Raman lasers generated in the multiple-pass cell (MPC). In this paper we present the conversion characteristics of para-H/sub 2/ and ortho-D/sub 2/ Raman lasers pumped by annular beams together with those pumped by conventional Gaussian beams.
