Abstract
The problems in conventional inventory optimization theory have been studied. By analysing of the relations of material flow among the sections in a discrete production system, the material flow regularities have been acquired. As a target, to minimize the cost of material flow in production systems, a new model is established which included economic order quantity, economic production batch and economic distribution batch. Using the new models, the more available optimization effect about material flow for discrete production system can also be acquired.
