Abstract
Summary form only given. In the present paper, we report for the first time in our knowledge about some restrictions of using cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) adaptive mirrors in high-repetition-rate short-pulse lasers because of the possibility of nonlinear bleaching of CLC mirrors. In cw operation CLC mirrors with lower misalignment sensitivity than conventional dielectric ones were successfully used by our group in Nd:YAG laser resonators.
