Abstract
Summary form only given. Wavelength-division multiplexed (WDM) devices are becoming increasingly important for fiber-optics communication and sensing systems. Large-channel fanout, low loss, and compatibility with fiber connection, laser sources and detectors are desired. In this work we report theoretical analysis and experimental demonstration of a new type of WDM device. A supergrating WDM multiplexer on a planar optical waveguide.
