Abstract
A computerized scheme for nuclear radiation measurement and analysis is presented. The author discusses the response of nuclear spectrometer arrangement and the associated hardware and software schemes for a successful computer interface. One of the important factors in the medical diagnostics is the relative positions of the nuclear radiation source and the detector. Methods which are being developed at Florida International University to automate the source detector positional movement under computer control are presented. The software schemes to control the nuclear measuring equipment and make many corrections to the stability of the systems are also presented
