Abstract :
This paper presents 1.6 GHz low power dual modulus prescaler IC using silicon ECL technology. Its power dissipation is 63 mW, which is arround one third of power of currently available silicon products. This performance is achieved by newly developed wafer process technology and circuit optimization by means of detailed circuit simulation.
